Commercially, she has danced for Music Videos, Television, Film and live performances. She has worked with artists such as Beyonce, LMFAO, JLO, and opened for Steve Augeri (Journey) to name a few. She has also performed as a company member with the professional dance company “Unity Dance Ensemble” Under the Direction of Tessandra Chavez and Theo Ivey. She has performed in many shows including Carnival and Club Jete in Los Angeles, under the direction of Tiffany Billings, Elm Pizarro, Cameron Graham and Maryann Chavez. She has trained as a Dancer with the acclaimed “Academy of Villains” Crew in Los Angeles, and danced with the “JanFam Movement.” A dance company where she worked closely with Janet Jackson’s team of original Choreographers, recreating the Iconic work of Janet Jackson’s dance legacy including, Tina Landon, Terry Bixler, Anthony “Bam Bam Thomas’, and Gus Giodano. Leading her to the Billboard Awards with Janet herself. She also was a company member and Artistic Director of Twisted Elegance LA, which is a professional hip hop company based in Seattle and Los Angeles.
She was the Director and co-creator of the “Concrete Dance Initiative”, an adult, professional Orange County Contemporary and Hip Hop Dance Company. She is on Faculty at Millennium Dance Complex and she currently is the co-founder, Director and Choreographer for the DEN’s own “Imprint Dance Company”. She is the Creative Director for HALO: Dance for Autism where she has the opportunity to help raise funds for scholarships and learning opportunities for children with Autism. She also enjoys being a faculty member on the Dance Atak Dance Convention.
Jessica Wolf holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance from Chapman University and is currently attaining her Masters of Science in Holistic Nutrition with an emphasis on Health and Wellness from the American College of Health Sciences. She is a diversely trained dancer in Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern and Tap dance styles. In her early professional dance Career she was an opening cast dancer member for Disneyland’s “Parade of Dreams” and also danced in the “A Christmas Fantasy” Parade. She spent six weeks at Duke University attending the American Dance Festival, an acclaimed modern dance technique-training program, where she was able to study the works of Martha Graham and train under the actual dance icons themselves; Laura Dean, Larry Keigwin, David Dorfman, Pilobolus and many other legends of modern dance.
As a choreographer, she is most known for her unique way of creating a fusions of contemporary, modern dance, ballet, tap and hip hop into blended styles. She is known for being an artful storyteller through her movement and stage set up and the way she creates images with bodies on stage. Jessica is a nationally ranked choreographer and has choreographed numerous award winning dances and achieved many high level awards at local and national competitions including many specific choreography awards and high ranking dances at the esteemed Youth American Grand Prix, Universal Ballet Competition and California Dance Classics. She has presented her own choreography at Club Jete and Carnival and has been a highlighted choreographer in the Orange County Revue Shows “Loose Cannons' ' and “RAW Artists”, presenting many different works of choreography ranging in different styles of dance. She has had the opportunity to choreograph and direct concept videos and Music videos, including one for an Artist that was featured on NBC’s “The Voice”. She always hopes that anyone viewing her choreographic work will walk away feeling as though they have had a piece of them spoken to and be able to connect with the message.
As a professional level master teacher, Jessica has been sought after for different competitive judging panels. She enojys working with beginners through professional level dancers, teachers, university professors and everything in between. She has been a master teacher for Lululemon, and Lululemon: Ivivva Clothing Line, The Segerstrom Center for the Arts and also has been brought back in as a guest professor at Chapman University and for The “Dance & Movement Workshop” to help inspire and mold the directors of dance programs all over the country.
In her classroom, students know her for her powerful connection, intense work ethic and her fun humor. Having the ability to teach them not only the various technical abilities and strengths needed, but also having her students fall in love with movement and art of dance itself. She has been brought into many different studios, companies and has been a guest teacher and choreographer throughout many schools from elementary through the college level. Teaching any student who works with her that the greatest power is to know “why” you are dancing and what the message of any piece is. She strives to have every student in her room feel appreciated and pushed to their full potential, while laughing with her and feeling loved and supported along the way.
Jessica is always attempting to improve her own abilities as a dancer, teacher, choreographer, visionary, director, artist and mover and business owner. She inspires anyone who works with her to push themselves to realize their full potential and remind them they are capable of much more than they ever imagined, all they have to do is "step over the line". Jessica is beyond excited for this new Journey and Creation of the DEN and the ability to open a facility of elite level training and allowing the opportunity for Dancers to Establish Networks and push forward to an incredible life in dance.
