Christiana Kimmich

coach/choreographer/rehearsal director (imprint)

Christiana Kimmich has been dancing collectively for 25 years and teaching for 20. Ever since stepping in as a sub in one of her college dance classes, her love for teaching and building community in dance continues to grow. Christiana started out as a competitive hip hop and jazz dancer in high school, and she was later introduced to contemporary dance after stepping into the professional realm.

After moving back to California, she started coaching competitive teams at OC All-Stars, and joined the West Coast Queens - a competitive hip hop team in the all-star realm based out of Orange County.

She competed nationally and earned a spot at The Dance Worlds for 5 consecutive years with the West Coast Queens and West Coast Royalty winning the silver in the Worlds Trials in 2018, and later taking the bronze medal with the WCQ all-girl team in 2019.

She has been featured in a music video for artist, Grace Williams, and co-choreographed for and danced in the REBELS short film with Influence Music. She danced with The Concrete Dance Initiative in their concept videos for #fifty-two and #withintheskin, and also in their feature show SLANT. Christiana was also proud to dance with Imprint Dance Company in their HALO professional piece in February 2019, raising awareness for autism. She credits Jessica Wolf and the amazing dancers of The Concrete Dance Initiative for igniting her love for contemporary dance, along with telling moving stories through dance with raw, artistic vulnerability.

Christiana was the Founder and Director of Haven Dance Company where she choreographed pieces for multiple Loose Cannons Choreography showcases, and released The Story of the Struggle - a 7-minute dance concept video detailing the horrific struggle of addiction.

After taking a break to focus on her growing family, Christiana is very honored and excited to be back working with the talented dancers of Imprint Dance Company at The DEN!
